I have not been NIGHT flying in about 5 months, but that changed last night.

I asked a certified flight instructor, who I have flown with before, to join me to ensure sure nothing went wrong. Your entire perception and usual reference points are discombobulated when flying at night.

We left from Fort Myers and went to Punta Gorda to do two landings and when heading back to Fort Myers, we both mentioned we had never been to KRSW (Southwest Florida International Airport) at night. In fact, I have never landed there before this encounter. I suggested we try. We asked for a touch and go.

Approval granted!

He took this picture as I was landing. What a great night!

This is an old post from another blog and I am still learning micro.blog
